Jacqueline ”Jackie“ Newberry, age 86, of Carpentersville, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Rosewood Care Center in Elgin. Jackie was born on October 17, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late John & Margaret (nee McCann) McDonough. On December 22, 1945 Jackie married Wayne R. Newberry. Wayne preceded Jackie in death on October 4, 1991 after celebrating 45 years of marriage. Jackie was a 68 year resident of the Carpentersville area and a former 42 year employee of Revcor Manufacturing in Carpentersville. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in West Dundee.
Survivors include her children; Linda (Keith) Hinz, Mary, Larry, and Jack (Robbin) Newberry Her grandchildren: Michael (Maureen) Hinz, Amy (Frank) Horn, Jenny (Andy) Gitelson, Christopher (Lisa) Newberry and Jessica (Brent) Gade. Her Great Grandchildren: Harrison, Kira, Kaitlyn, Alex, Lila, Madelyn and Ryan. In addition to her parents and husband, Jackie was preceded in death by her (2) brothers and (3) Sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with the Rev. Aaron James officiating. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 P.M. in the funeral home.
