Mr. Randy "Darold" Stewart, 63, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Atlanta V.A. Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Sheffield, Rev. Mike Ware and Rev. Jimmy Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Thursday from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Mr. Stewart served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member and home preacher at Oakdale Baptist Church. Darold was a Chaplain for the American Legion. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Stewart; parents, Bill and Ozella Stewart; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Stewart of Canton; children, Micheal (Rory) Stewart and Christie (Dewayne) Thomas both of Canton; siblings, Larry Stewart of Dallas, Barbara Chastain of Adairsville, Charles Stewart of Ball Ground, Kenny Stewart of Morganton and Dale Stewart of Tampa, FL; mother-in-law, Hazel Coker of Canton; grandchildren, Bradley Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Gavin Stewart and Grace Stewart; a host of nieces and nephews.
