DALLAS CENTER -- A funeral for Ruby E. Mitchell, 77, of Dallas Center was held April 14, 1989 at Mound Park Brethren in Christ Church at Dallas Center. Mrs. Mitchell died of cancer at her home on April 11. Burial was in the Brethren Cemetery at Dallas Center.

Born in Kansas on Dec. 14, 1911, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Jamison Flora. She had lived in Dover, Del., where she was a sales manager for a clothing store. Following her retirement in 1983, she moved to Dallas Center to make her home with her sister, Esther Keller.

She was a member of the Dallas Center Woman's Club, Senior Citizen Organization and the Brethren in Christ Church.

Survivors include two stepsons, Philip of Fairhope, Ala. and Kenneth of Honolulu, Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Betty McKee of Stowe, Vt.; two brothers, Ernest Flora of Englewood, Colo. and Joseph Flora of Adel; and five sisters, Florence Reed of Manitou Springs, Colo., Katie Smith of Pueblo, Colo. and Anna Umland, Beulah Reed and Esther Keller, all of Dallas Center.
