Benjamin Jacob Cravy, 84, of La Marque, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his residence.
Benjamin “BJ” Cravy was born June 18, 1931 in Rockdale, Texas to Henry “HC” Cravy and Ruby Mae Reed. He was a Printer and later became Manager for the Houston Chronicle where he retired after 26 years. He had a love for fishing and enjoyed watching sports, especially his two favorite teams the Texas Longhorns and Houston Astros.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Cravy; sister, Wanda Faye Rogers; brother, Lanny Cravy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Janie Mae Cravy; children, Darrell Cravy and wife Patricia, Darla Cravy Garrison and husband Jerry, Doug Cravy and wife Paula, Dwayne Cravy and wife Karen, Danny Cravy and wife Alma, Donna Miller Washburn and husband Mikey, Danette Santti and husband Eric Gassen, Michael Wayne Cravy; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
