Mark C. Walter, 62, of Boonville, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in his sleep at home. He was the owner and operator of Suburban Landscape for 38 years. He attended St. Rupert's Catholic Church in Red Brush and was a graduate of Memorial High School and St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas with a degree in chemistry. He enjoyed traveling and whitewater rafting and was also a lover of history with a special interest in the civil war. Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Carolyn (Woodward) Walter of Boonville; daughters, Staci Walter of Portland, Ore., and Amanda Walter of Indianapolis; son Josh Walter of Lafayette; a sister Claudia and her husband Dan Gallagher of Newburgh; his father Clint Walter of Newburgh; and a niece and nephew, Amy Dixon-Jimenez and Jeff Dixon. He was preceded in death by his mother Lenhawee Walter on Oct. 1, 2003.
