Born Jan. 20, 1953, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Edna Blanton of Boiling Springs and the late James Blanton. She was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her Granny, Gazzie Blanton and sister, Judy Pullen.
Survivors include husband, Larry Lane Pearson; daughter, Jennifer Black and husband, Eric of Lawndale; grandson who she adored, Lane Weston Black; two brothers, Robert Blanton and wife, Ann of Shelby and William Blanton of Boiling Springs; sister, Betty Blanton of Morganton; niece Debbie Blanton of Gaffney; great nephew, Jeff Head and wife Junie of Gaffney who lived in the home and cared for in her final days. She also leaves behind several special girls she loved and cared for as her own, two special caregivers, CNA Ruth Greene and nurse Kendra Pennington and a loving companion, her lap cat Heath.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Normans Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Keith Huss & Rev. David Blanton.
Burial will be at Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
