Nita Nell Cannon, 85, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017.
Graveside services will be 4 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Nita was born September 17, 1932 in Oklahoma to Mervin Bowen and Leota Lemley Bowen. She married Willie G. Cannon on February 5, 1951.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sons, David, Willie, Michael and Cecil; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include her daughters, Mervetta Lemon ''Mert'' of Amarillo, Shuri Miller and husband, Stephen of Springfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Janis Cannon of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Merle Bowen of Asher, Oklahoma, Terry Bowen of Del Rio, Texas; sister, Iva Dale Cannon of Ballinger, Texas.
