CHURCHROCK — Funeral services for Adrian Roy Begay, 17, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Kee Keyanna will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gallup City Cemetery.

Begay died May 13 in Church Rock. He was born July 17, 1987 in Gallup into the Bitterwater People Clan for the Coyote Pass/Jemez People Clan.

Begay was a senior at Gallup High School and was an employee at Pronto Laundromat. He enjoyed playing his Playstation, computers, soccer, basketball, watching wrestling and listening to music.

Survivors include his mother, Etta Begay of Churchrock; sister, Samantha Begay of Churchrock; grandparents, Elizabeth Begay of Churchrock, Betty Franklin of Lukachukai and Chester Franklin of Window Rock.

Begay was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Roy Begay.

Pallbearers will be Anderson Chischilly, Antonio Chischilly, Gary Yazzie, Jonah Begay, Travis Silver, Danny Poorbear and Nathaniel Tsosie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Churchrock Chapter.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
