MRS. MARY GUSI GRISANTI, who was associated with her husband in the restaurant business here for 40 years, died at her home about 8:00 a.m. yesterday. She was 66. Mrs. Grisanti and her husband, Rinaldo "Willie" Grisanti, operated Grisanti's-on-Main for many years before moving the well-known Italian restaurant to Ashlar Hall, the old Brinkley Snowden home at 1397 Central, last year. For about two years Mrs. Grisanti had been ill with a heart condition. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Before her illness she was active in volunteer work at Kennedy Veterans Hospital and the Naval Hospital at Millington. She was a member of Mid-South Navy Mothers Club and had been active in other civic and charitable work.
Born in Bologna, Italy, Mrs. Grisanti came to this country in 1903. She lived at 1359 Agnes. In addition to her husband, she leaves four sons, Elfo Grisanti of 2022 Central, Arthur Grisanti of 5381 Normandy, John Grisanti of 205 Leonora Drive and Jimmy Grisanti of 5156 Helene; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Padgett of Marshall, Texas, and Mrs. Gloria Pieroni of St. Louis, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Gusi of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
