Bonnie L. Boyd 80, passed away Wednesday, June 24th, in Enterprise. She was born March 20, 1935 near Detroit, Kansas, the daughter of Harry A. and Ruth M. (Schneider) Tobias. Growing up in the Detroit area, Bonnie attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School, Brown Mackie College and Kansas State University. On November 11, 1949, she was married to Clifton H. Boyd. Most all so their married life was spent in the Enterprise and Abilene area. She had been employed by the Weary Law Firm in Junction City as a legal secretary for 31 years until retiring in 1997. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, collecting dolls, sewing and crafts. She was preceded in death by six sisters, three brothers, step-son Danny Boyd and 2 great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Tuesday, June 30th, at the Danner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 PM Monday, June 29th,at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to Parkinson's.
