Dustin Anthony "Bubby" Taylor, 6, of 122 Merrbaugh Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Born Aug. 5, 2001, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Steven Michael Taylor of Boonsboro and Crystal Lynn Bartles of Hagerstown.

He was a first-grade student at Salem Avenue Elementary School.

He attended Salem Lutheran Church.

He was a member of Cub Scouts Pack 27 of Hagerstown.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Lakyra N. Taylor of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; two brothers, Brandon S. Taylor of Hagerstown and Adam M. Taylor of Boonsboro; maternal grandparents, Robert P. and Carolyn M. Bartles of Hagerstown; paternal grandfather, Steve L. Taylor of Williamsport; maternal great-grandfather and stepgreat-grandmother, Cecil H. and Carol Seal of Ridgley, W.Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Etta L. Bartles of Hagerstown; maternal great-great-grandmother, Mary C. Bartles of Hagerstown; paternal great-grandmother, Doris L. Giffin of Sharpsburg; paternal great-grandmother, Wilma Taylor of Williamsport; and three uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Arvella Giffin; maternal great-grandmother, Patricia L. Seal; maternal great-grandfather, Ralph D. Bartles Sr.; and paternal great-grandfather, Larry Giffin.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport. Pastor John F. Torrence will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Boonsboro.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open at 4 p.m.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
