Mary Christine Lipscomb Karr, age 74, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. She was born August 12, 1940 in Adairsville, Georgia to the late Robert L. Lipscomb and Goldie Setters Lipscomb. She was a Hoke Smith High School graduate, was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Wayne Karr; daughter, Donna Raye Karr Monson; and a number of brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, Ray R. Karr, Jr. of Carrollton; her children, Penny Christine Karr Starr of West Virginia, and Michael Wayne Karr of Carrollton; sisters, Emmaline Moroney of Douglass, MS, Barbara Jordan of Blairsville, and sisters-in-law: Geraldine Lipscomb of Bremen, and Peggy Lipscomb of Rome, Georgia; grandchildren, David Tuttle, Derrick Tuttle, Corey Monson, Phillip Monson, and Lindsey Monson; nephew, Norman Lipscomb of Bremen; and family friend, Jeffery Bretherick. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Condra and Mr. Norman Lipscomb officiating. Music will be rendered by Barbara Jordan. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
