GEORGE ADAIR George Junior Adair, 67, died Saturday,June 7, 1997, at his home.
He wasborn Feb 27, 1930, in Boydell in Ashley County to the late George Terrel
and Bell Elizabeth Bryant Adair.

He was retired from Burlington and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Eddington Adair of Monticello; one son, Michael T. Adair of California; one stepson, Samuel Douglas Grisham of Marion, Ohio; one daughter, Jerilyn Adair of Monticello; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Ann Baker of Tupelo, Miss.; two brothers, Claude Adair of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Frank Adair of Monticello; two sisters, Bessie Corder of Snyder and Myrtle Uptigrove of Bastrop, La.; five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 9 at 10 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel by the Elders Dick Bullard, Fred Anderson and Ronnie Carr.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery arranged by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Bobby Ray Whitehead, Billy Loveless, Rich Dickinson, Terry Strickland, Fred Kulbeth and Marvin Terry. Honorary pallbearer was J.W. Ayecock.
