Funeral services for Russel W. Morrison 51, Coos Bay will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Mills-Bryan Chapel, Coos Bay. The Rev. Roy Green of the Coos Bay church of the Nazarene will officiate. Committal will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mr. Morrison was born Feb. 19, 1921, at Empire, and died of Cancer at home Feb. 3, 1973. He had been an employee of Cape Arago Lumber Co. until he retired.
He was married Feb. 24, 1947, in Vancouver, Washington to Florence Frederick, who survives.
Other survivors include their adopted son Donald Morrison, Goldendale, Wa. a sister Alice Armacost, Coos Bay; brothers Joseph S. Jr., and Fred W. of Coos Bay and Philip A. of Grants Pass, Or. He was preceded in death by his sister Bertha May Gallino of Myrtle Point, Or. Father Joseph S. Morrison and mother Mary A. Morrison both of Charleston, Or.
