Michael Anson McKinnon passed away on November 26th, 2014 at home in Salem, Oregon at age 71. Mike was born on July 4th, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to parents Elizabeth Hicks and Anson McKinnon. He was raised by Elizabeth and his stepfather Howard (Tuffy) Hicks in Salem.

Mike was pre-deceased by his two sons, Stephen and Bryan McKinnon. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Grube and grandchildren, Katherine and Miles Grube of Portland, Oregon; sister, Kathy Mask of Scappoose, Oregon; brother, David Hicks of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his large, loving extended family.

He graduated from Serra Catholic High School in Salem and received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Oregon with honors. He was a promising baseball player in his youth, enjoyed music and was a caring and loving father and grandfather. He won the affection of all who knew him.

Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6th, 2014 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. 605 Commercial St. SE Salem, Oregon 97301.
