Mike Stuckey, as known by friends and family, left this world on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at his home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He was born in Borger, Texas on August 17, 1948 to Alene and Johnnie Earl Stuckey. Mike grew up in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He served four years in Vietnam and always stated that " that made him the man he was". After returning state side he relocated to Dallas, Texas. Mike married June (Marchbanks) Stuckey on September 19, 1986 in Denton, Texas. Mike went to work for Southwestern Bell, retiring after 25 years of service, at the age of 50. Mike was a volunteer firefighter for ten years and owned an independent DJ business for 20 years performing at private parties and functions in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. In 2007 Mike moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Wagoner with his wife June. He joined the Patriot Guard Riders in 2011 and also the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) in 2012. He served as Chapter Member Enhancement Coordinator with GWRRA for Chapter M in Muskogee and he and June were recognized as the Chapter Couple of the Year for two years running, for his significant contributions to the chapter. Mike was part of many civic and club activities including raising funds for children, he was a man with a big heart of gold and a zealous love of life and the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, raising and boarding horses and riding his Gold Wing 1800 Roadsmith trike with his best friend, June. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M., with Anita Shipman, Life Celebrant.
