Rosalio Holguin (Chalio) Lozolla
Rosalio Holguin Lozolla (Chalio), was born in Colton, CA on September 4, 1921, to Victoria and Leandor Lozolla. He was devoted to his family of 10 siblings during his early years in Colton. Rosalio served four years in the United States Army. He later worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, where he retired after 40 years. In 1950, he met the love of his life, Adela Macias, whom he married in 1951. He continued the legacy of a devoted husband and father to Adela and their three children: Della Marie Ruiz, Larry Lozolla, and Steve Lozolla. In 1978, the family moved to Bakersfield, CA where Rosalio raised his family and late succumbed to a brief illness on July 1, 2006. Rosalio was preceded in death by his father and mother and six of his siblings. He is survived by: his wife, Adela Lozolla; his daugher, Della Marie and her husband, Eloy Ruiz of Bakersfield, CA; his son, Larry Lozolla of Bakersfield, CA and his companion, Jeanie Whiteside, and his son, Steve Lozolla and his wife, Tammie of Colton, CA; his 4 grandchildren: 3 from Bakersfield, CA: Melinda and her husband, Jerold Stevens, Amanda Ruiz, and Kevin Ruiz; and step-grandchild, Larry Johnson and his wife, Denise of Victorville, CA; 3 step-great-grand- children; his four siblings of Colton, CA: Paul Lozolla, Amelia Hernandez, Emily Lopez and Irene Lozolla, and a host of nieces and nephews. Dad/Papa, you will always be remembered, loved, and cherished as 'our hero'. Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield, CA.
