DEATH WINS OVER SKILL OF
COLUMBUS HOSPITAL SURGEONS

Mrs. Dollie Leighninger, of W. Lafayette, Dies
Following an Operation--Leaves Husband and Two Sons

The news of the death of Mrs. Dollie Leighninger, aged 45, wife of Marion Leighninger of West Lafayette, comes as a shock to the residents of that place, her demise occurring Friday morning at 2 o'clock in Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Mrs. Leighninger had been ailing for a year or more and on Wednesday was taken to Grant Hospital, where she was operated upon last Thursday. Her condition was not considered serious and it is believed that death is due to the operation. The body was taken to West Lafayette, to the Leighninger home, situated east of the village, near the college. The funeral arrangements will not be made until Saturday evening.
Mrs. Leighninger leaves besides her husband, two sons, Jesse, who is a member of this year's graduating class of West Lafayette College and Isadore, aged 16. An aged mother, Mrs. Hannah Starker, who recently came to reside with her daughter, also survives with the following brothers and sisters: Isadore West, of West Lafayette, Charles, of Newcomerstown, Thomas, of Dennison, Jerry, of Newcomerstown, Mrs. Silvia Stowe of West Lafayette, and Mrs. Laura McCain, of Pittsburg.
An ideal home woman as well as active in church circles, her death causes general regret and sadness. She was a member of the M. P. Church of West Lafayette.
