Debra Kay Brougham Mathis. On October 12, 2011, the life of a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, wife, aunt, and friend came to an end. Debi Kay Mathis, 58, of Erie, Pa. passed away at Twinbrook Medical Center after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born in Tucson, Ariz. on September 8, 1953, to Jack and Marilyn Brougham.
Debi lived an adventurous life eventually leading her to Florida where she met her husband, Tracy A. Mathis. Debi and Tracy were married in Erie, Pa. 16 years ago. It was important to Debi for the world to know how much she loved Tracy. Debi's love for life was contagious. She never failed to find the FUN. Even in her darkest hours, she never lost her sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her daddy, and her cousin, Georgette (Boo) Tillotson. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Oleson; brothers, Ralph Brougham, girlfriend, Joyce, Stephen Brougham, wife, Debbie, Frankie Livendoski; sister, Sondra Becker, husband, Martin; nephews, Nicholas, Matthew, and their mother Maggie Brougham, Stephen Jr, Tyler, Cameron; nieces, Amber, Autumn, Courtney, Ashley; aunt, Georgette Tillotson, husband, Gaylord; uncle, Doug Brougham, wife, Fran; and cousins, Greg, Gary, Kelly; foster sister, Sue Folk; and life-long friend, Mercy Petroff. Debi was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
