Decatur__ Irma Katherine Archer, 84 of Decatur, Ill., died, at 10:25 p.m. Saturday (11-19-2005) in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (11-22-2005) at Northwest Christian Church, with visitation Monday (11-21-2005) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, Ill.
Memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Church. Irma was born on March 26, 1921 in Staunton, Ill., the daughter of Floyd and Ruby (Dush) Hatfill. She married Ambrose "Bud" Archer on July 9, 1943 in Norman, Ok. He Preceded her in death in 1974.
Irma was a member of Northwest Christian Church. One of her loves was the many hours spent volunteering at her church. She was a custodian at Millikin University and for the Decatur Public Schools District #61, where she retiredin 1983.
She is survived by her children: Robert "Bob" Archer and wife Delores of Springfield, Ill.; Carol Spaulding and husband Ronald of Forsyth, Il.; and Lou Anne Burton of White Heath, Il.; one sister: Opal Reid of Stewardson, Il.; four gandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Irma was Preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
