Kevin Edward Jordan was born on September 19, 1989 at 3:31 p.m. in Athens, Texas. He was taken from us way too early on June 20, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Piercy Walker formerly of Jeffrey, WV and Carol Johnson of Latta, South Carolina.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie Fawn Walker Rice of Charleston; his only sister, Kassie Loren Jordan of Charleston; aunt, Deanna and Peter Nasr of Tarpon Springs, Florida; uncle, Jim and Shannon Walker of South Carolina; and aunt, Tammy and Terry Ramsey of Virginia.

For those of you who knew my son Kevin, you would know the fantastic ability that he had to make you smile. He had the most infectious personality that just made you want to be around him. He had always had the ability since the day he was born. He loved sports, 4 wheeling and loved anything outside, he was always ready for the next adventure.

My son had so many close friends, so close that some of them actually became like brothers, Greg, Josh, Eric and too many to mention, but one thing remained evident over the years, my son loved his sister Kassie, they had a bond no one could every break.

As we sit here trying to put this horrific loss into words, it is so extremely unbearable to try to sum up his life or the effect he had on so many people in just a few words.

My son, my life, the breath that I breathe, my life will never be the same again…the Lord truly, truly blessed me because I had the greatest gift in the world and that was and always will be you…I was truly blessed because God chose me to be your mom…and Kassie to be your sister, for that I will always be thankful.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Edsel Aleshire officiating. He will be laid to rest in Boone Memorial Park, Madison following the service.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
