He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Reid; his grandparents, Levi and Ruth Reid, and James and LaVaga Peterson; his cousin Doug Reid; and two uncles, Bill and Jerry Reid.
He is survived by his wife Michelle; one son, Michael; two daughters, Jerrica and Kambrie Hailey all of the home in Texico; his father, W. O. Reid and his longtime friend Billie Jean Trujillo of Logan, New Mexico; his mother, Marsha Reid of Logan, New Mexico; and three brothers, T. O. Reid and his wife Judie of Clovis, Jack Reid of Dallas, Texas, and Jimmy Reid and his wife Debbie Reid of Caldwell, Texas.
He married Michelle Luna July 4, 1999 in Clovis. He enjoyed attending his children's events. He enjoyed playing basketball and soft ball, and coached little league softball, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Texico. Pastor Rob Hollis will officiate with Seth Ellsworth assisting. Burial will be at the Texico Cemetery in Texico, New Mexico.
Casket Bearers will be Terry Reid, Jimmy Reid, Jack Reid, Shaun Reid, J. D. Reid, Kane Reid, Terry Dee Curry, and Bruce Crow.
Honorary casket bearers will be the "Outlaws" Softball Team and all family and friends.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
