Robert Eli Pena, age 83, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Kingsville. He was born September 20, 1931 in Kingsville to Fernando Pena and Velia Garcia Pena. Mr. Pena graduated from H.M. King High School and attended Texas A&I University, Kingsville. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 where he became a staff sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Robert worked for NAS Corpus Christi as a Master Electrician for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ricardo Pena; sister, Andrea G. Pena; and nephew, Adrian Pena.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years of marriage, Dalia T. Pena of Kingsville; one son, Daniel Robert Pena of Kingsville; one daughter, Denise P. Cardenas (Charlie) of Kingsville; and two grandsons, Roberto Carlos Cardenas and Lucas Miguel Cardenas.

Visitation February 10, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
