Eli Joseph Blunk, son of Joseph and Elizabeth Blunk, was born Oct. 17, 1869 and departed this life June 2nd, 1934, age 65 years, 7 months 16 days.
He was the fifth child of a family of 10 children. He was born and lived his entire life in the vivinity of Crown Center.
He was united in marriage to Anna Ham, June 24, 1894. To this union was born four children, Nora Bell, James Roscoe, Dora Elizabeth and Lora Ennis. James and Dora have preced him in death.
He united with the Mt. Tabor church at Crown Center, under the preaching of Rev. Jeff Hodson and later moved his membership to Hazelwood.
He has been in failing health for the past year and a half. Had been confined to his bed since last Oct.
He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, ond daughter, Mrs Nora Sims of Coatesville, one son Lora, of this vicinity, three brothers, Jas. and Jasper of Morgan county and Charles of Boone county and nine grandchildren.
