Son of Frank and Mary Avery. Brother of Francis, Edwin and Rosemary.

On 20 June 1938, Victor married Sara Pebley/Pefley, in Detroit, Michigan.

Victor was a police lieutenant in Detroit, Precinct 9, for 25 yrs.

He retired in 1967 and then Victor and Sara moved to Levering, Michigan.
