Diana Maria Thomas was born September 24, 1925 in Davis, California, where she was raised. She attended school there and met her future husband Cliff Thomas in Davis at the age of five and he was seven! Right out of high school Cliff went into the U.S. Army to serve in WW II. While he was gone Diana worked for the Signal Corp waiting for her love to return.

They were married on May 5, 1945. After they married they bought a bee business in Cottonwood, California, where they raised and sold queen bees and packaged bees. They worked and enjoyed the bee business for over 60 years. In the summers they also ran a honey business in Clyde, Alberta, Canada.

Diana loved to cook and entertain her many friends and family. She was eager to know people and always had kind words for them. In Cottonwood and at Sierra Oaks she was fondly known by many as the "Queen Bee".

Diana leaves three children. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband Cliff Thomas in 2007.

Diana passed away peacefully on June 7, 2015 at Sierra Oaks in Redding, California.

She was much loved and will be truly missed.

A Celebration Of Life will be held for Diana at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Neighborhood Church of Anderson and Cottonwood, 4684 Rhonda Road Anderson, California 96007 – 530-365-3331.
