Charlene G. Lee, 88, died Friday, June 19, 2015, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers. She was born August 17, 1926, the daughter of Abe and Maymie (Guy) Klatt.

Charlene graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1944, was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers, and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1974, after 30 years of service.

On March 2, 1945, she married Sam Lee. He died October 3, 2014.

Survivors include: a daughter, Connie (R.J.) Kleinherenbrink, Hutchinson; sisters, Pat (Del) Krider, Aurora, Colo., Elaine (Mac) McKenna, Hutchinson, and Shirley (Gene) McColm, Missouri; sister-in-law, Mickey Klatt, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Wendi Penner, Heather (Greg) White, Cori Miller, Sam Kleinherenbrink, and Emmie Kleinherenbrink; and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor Hildebrand, Raegan Hildebrand, Breckyn Penner, Greyden Penner, Hunter Rodriquez, Morgan White, Lindsey Pinkham, and Abby Pinkham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Judi Fesler and husband Jim, brothers, Ted and Lynn Klatt, and sister, Dora Swinney.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, in Fairlawn Burial Park, with the Rev. Jeff Slater officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
