Frances Ellen Humphries 75 passed away Monday, June 26, 2006. She was born to Ray and Anna Bogue of Underhill, Vermont on February 28, 1931 at the Mary Fletcher Hospital.
While growing up on a farm amongst the Green Mountains of Vermont she had a deep love and appreciation of animals, both wild and domestic. In fact, when she was a little girl, she even had a pet rooster she took for walks on a string.
She was proud of making All-State in Vermont and receiving a scholarship to return to Mary Fletcher School of Nursing where she graduated as a registered nurse. She moved to California where she practiced at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital many years, especially fifth floor. This was also when she met the love of her life, George Humphries, and was happily married for fifty years.
