Mac sold cars for several years, worked as a licensed realtor and eventually retired as a truck driver for Industrial Contractors and a member of Teamsters Local #215. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and had served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mac was also a Boy Scout Troop Leader for Troop #71 at St. Mark’s Church
Surviving Mac are his wife of 49 years, Virginia (Plump) Curtis; a daughter, Katherine Curtis; seven sons, Jerry (Patsy) Curtis, Manuel (Frances) Curtis Jr, Doug (Dana) Curtis, Richard E. Lottes, Steven (Yvonne) Lottes, Larry (Debbie) Lottes and David (Tammy) Lottes; two sisters, Ruth Schaer and Mary Ina Ackerman; eighteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
Mac was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Curtis.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5301 S. St. Philip Road, Evansville, IN 47712, Rev. Danny Barr officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
