Bryan was born in Murray, Utah to Ward Porter and S. Dawn Hays Wilson; he was the fifth of their eleven children and died in West Valley City, Utah.
He attended schools in Midvale and Sandy. His favorite things to do were to go fishing, hiking, and camping and to do anything in the great outdoors. Bryan anticipated the annual Wilson Family reunion which meant two and a half days of camping, fishing and visiting with his extended family.
As an avid football fan, he loved discussing his favorite college and professional teams. He was a devout University of Utah fan; he celebrated every football win and mumbled about each loss. He also loved the Pittsburg Steelers and cheered them on with each victory. He loved to read; when he wasn’t following his favorite teams he would usually be found reading a book, magazine, newspaper article or catching up with the on-line news.
He is survived by his siblings and their spouses: Mark and Janice, Brenda and Mark, Becky, Janet and Van, Grace and Mark, Lori, Wendy and Barney, and Ward and Nora. He is survived by his well-loved nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. He also is survived by five aunts, an uncle, and dozens of cousins and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Matt and Aaron, one aunt, five uncles, and nephew Daniel. A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 16 2014, at 2:30 pm in the Winder Fourth Ward Relief Society Room. The address is: 3825 South 951 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Bryan will be buried in the Hatch City Cemetery, Hatch Utah. The Wilson family gives a special thank you to Premier Funeral Services.
