Johnnie Cable Rowe, 72, of Mackville, died at 5:27 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998 at the Columbia Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. A native of Washington County, he was born on March17, 1925 to the late Sam and Maggie Lawrence Rowe. He was a retired construction worker and farmer and a Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Dixon Rowe; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara Sue) Haney of Louisville; one step-son, Terry Hensley of Etowah, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Bradley Hensley and Amanda Haney; and two sisters,Mrs. Randal (Mildred) Cheser of Springfield and Mrs. Jack (Ina) Clark of Dayton, Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Ricky Cheatham, pastor of the Anchor of Hope Church, officiated. Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Cheser, Gerald Cheser, Bill Clark, Jack Allen Clark, Don Rowe and Brad Hensley.
