James "Bubo" Vernon Lawrence, born November 6, 1932, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 29, 2006, in the comfort of his home.

Bubo was self employed. There wasn't a job he could not do.

Bubo was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, sister, two
grandchildren and his first wife Audrey.

Bubo is survived by his wife, Fannie Lawrence of Del Valle, ten children James V. Lawrence Jr. of Bastrop, Diane Weaver of Elgin, William and Shelia Lawrence of Del Valle, Wayne and Joyce Lawrence of Elgin, Mittie and Elmo Whited of Bastrop, Pam and Odis Whited of Del Valle, Becky and Jimmy Whited of Bastrop, James Leon Lawrence of San Marcos, Ronnie Stubbs of Del Valle and Carl and Sissy Lawrence of Del Valle; 27 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.

Bubo loved and was loved by his family and a great many friends. He will be missed by many.

Until we meet again and walk hand and hand with our Lord and Savior. May he rest in peace.

Graveside service were held on Monday, July 3, at Haynie Chapel Cemetery.
