Marriage of James A. Westcott and Miss Jessie May Wees.

LAFAYETTE, Jan. 8.—About forty-five guests witnessed on New Year's evening at the home of Mrs. T. S. Wees the marriage of her daughter Jessie May to James A. Westcott of Collingwood. The Rev. N. Wardner of Syracuse officiated, and the bridal party took their places under an arch of evergreens from which was the pendant horseshoe, as Mrs. M. Prindle of Syracuse at the organ played the wedding march. Miss Clara King of Lafayette was bridesmaid, and G. H. Hinch of Rochester was best man. The bride was dressed in an "ashes of roses" costume of Beatrice cloth and silk with natural flowers, while Miss King wore a dress of cream albatross. After the ceremony the party partook of a sumptuous repast. Among the guests were Doctor and Mrs. Landon, Mrs. W. B. Kirk, Mrs. T. B. Kirk and Mrs. F. Kirk of Syracuse, cousins of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. King of Elmwood park, Syracuse, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Bush, Syracuse, and Mr. and Mrs. James Benedict of East Syracuse, Prof. N. E. Hinch and W. Hinch of Camden, East Canada, and W. J. Irwin of Guelph, Ontario. The bride was the recipient of many costly and useful presents. Among them was a handsome silver tea set, the gift of Mayor and Mrs. Kirk of Syracuse. After a few hours of social chat the bride and groom took their departure amid a shower of rice and old shoes to visit relatives in Herkimer and Utica.
