Mary Ann Smith was the daughter of Davis Smith and his first wife , Mary Fox who lived in Livingston County Michigan. In 1850 she married Aaron Sanders (Saunders). Their children were Arissa Arline, Mary Melissa, Lillian L., Ruth Rocelia, Albertie Carrie and George. After Aaron's tragic accident in December 1875, Mary Ann married Hiram C Elliott. Hiram's first wife, Amanda, died about a week before Aaron. The 1880 census shows Mary Ann and her youngest son , George Sanders, living with Hiram. She died in 1896 .
