Burl Smith, 82, passed away in Fort Worth June 19, 2015. Burl was formerly of Cleburne and currently resided in Burleson with his daughter. He was born October 29, 1932. He married Iva Lou Swinney in 1955.

Burl was a phenomenal musician, best known for exceptional mandolin performances. He was a Korean War Veteran, and retired United States Marine. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a Master Mason who belonged to The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas for over 50 years at the Southside Masonic Lodge No 1114.

Survivors include his children, Shari and Kelly; grand children; great grand children; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Iva Lou Smith.

Graveside service will be conducted June 24, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado...CPFH
