Blanche was born to Ella nee Hicks and Robert Lowry Davidson in Alexandria, S.D. The picture is of her father when he and Ellen Jane Lowry(Joseph)Davidson grandparents lived in Alexandria, S.D.
She and her 2 siblings-Winifred(1908) and Wallace(1910) were fortunate to share their Scottish/Irish heritage throughout life. Her grandmother Ellen Jane Lowry Davidson was a leader in the community and instrumental as a founder of the Green Hill Cem.
Her five Davidson aunts-Jenny(Caldwell), Alice(O'Connor), MayElla(Dunn), NellieWinifred(McCaffrey), Cery Blanche(Blackman) all lived in Alexandria, Hanson County/where they gathered with 16 cousins for family celebrations-with Grandma Mary McCann Lowry had lived with Great Aunt Mary Lowry Mcmaster and cousins, Great Uncle David Lowry and Great Uncle John Lowry who all lived there. Her great grandmother Mary McCann Lowry passed in 1898.
She married Paul Goode in 1942-their union was blessed with Denny(Susie) of Atlanta, GA. and Mary Ann(Lee Blanchard)of Rapid City.
Life in Sioux City, S.D. for over 50 years and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary began with a start in her career at age 15 in Alexandria as a local grocery store bookkeeper.
She and Paul went to Nettleton Business College.
She loved being a homemaker and volunteer in life.
She belonged to and enjoyed golf at Arrowhead Country Club.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1993, her parents, Lowry Aunts, Uncles, and young cousins Ellen, George, and Donald Lowry Blackman in Alexandria.
Grandchildren surviving Blanche are Gabrielle(Tim) Rochester, Luther Rochester, Adrienne Rochester, Damon Goode, Jason(Annie) Goode; greatgrandchildren-Milo and Ava Rochester. Nieces and nephews-Tamra(Mel)Grover, Pam(Ken) Knapp, Robert(Marietta)Shreve, Susan(Dave)Woods, and remembering good friends (Pat,Irene and Melinda Jones).
