Anna Schiller Fick was the wife of Henry Fick Sr. The newlywed couple emigrated to the United States in 1852, residing first at Altamont, Albany County, New York, where their five children were born (Henry Fick Jr., John Lake Fick, Mary Fick, Minnie Fick and Amelia Fick). The family moved to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, before 1870, where Anna and Henry lived the rest of their lives. The Fick family were charter members of St. John's Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, which was near their home on Carey Avenue.
