CLINCHPORT, Va. - Michelle D. Bishop, 53, passed away Thursday (Jan. 1, 2004) at Bristol Hospice House.

She was born in Hingman, Mass.

Mrs. Bishop attended Thomas Village Baptist Church.

The family would like to send a special thank you to her nurses, Tommie, Dorothy and Lisa.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Alfred Petrie and her father-in-law, Arthur Bishop.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Bishop, of the home; her daughter, Nicole Lane and husband Travis, Clinchport, Va.; grandchildren, Kayla, Sarah and Tyler; father, Charles Brunkie Sr. and wife Sally, Rockland, Mass. and her mother, Cecile Petrie, Church Hill; sisters, Carol McAndrew and husband Robert, Kingsport and Joyce Rapoza and husband Tommy, Brocton, Mass.; brothers, Charles "Skip" Brunkie Jr. and wife Diane, Pembroke, Mass., Peter Brunkie and wife Sharon, Kingsport and Gary Petrie, Kingsport; mother-in-law, Della Bishop, Clinchport, Va.; sister-in-law, Norma Legg and husband Presley, Weber City, Va.; brother-in-law, Charles Bishop and wife Joyce, Kingsport.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Garry Edwards officiating. Music will be provided by Kaylors Chapel Quartet.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Holston View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chad Bishop, Jason Bishop, Anthony Legg, Shanon Qualls, Gary Williams, John McConnell and Scott Grant.

Memorials may be made to Thomas Village Baptist Church, Duffield, Va., or to the Duffield Rescue Squad.

Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the family of Michelle Bishop.
