Died.
Aurelien Primeaux, an old and highly esteemed citizen of Youngsville, died at his home in that town, aged 75 years, Sunday at 3 p. m. The deceased was a native of this parish and served gallantly in the Confederate army as a member of the 26th Louisiana regiment. At the close of the war he returned to this parish and was engaged in farming until the time of his death. He took an active and prominent part in public affairs and served two terms as Police Juror. He was an honest and upright citizen and possessed the respect and regard of a large circle of friends, who highly appreciated his many fine qualities. He is survived by his wife and six children: Messrs Adam, Jno. E., Eusebe, Ellien Primeaux, Mrs. Albert Fabre and Mrs. Jules Comeaux.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 4 p. m. at the Catholic church in Youngsvile and were attended by many from Lafayette and other parts of the Parish.
