Paul Saxon Elling, 16, of Grants Pass died Sunday, June 27, 2004, in an automobile accident.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center with Bishop C. Stacey Berg officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Elling was born Aug. 16, 1987, in San Jose, Calif. On Jan. 28, 1994, he moved with his father and brother to Grants Pass.
He attended Grants Pass High School's Gladiola Campus.
He enjoyed C-SPAN and government issues, writing music, especially hip hop music, floating the river on a Tahiti, athletics and, when he was younger, playing Little League All-stars baseball in the minors.
Survivors include his father, Rick Elling Jr. of Grants Pass; two brothers, Jon Elling and Justin Elling, both of Grants Pass; his grandparents, Richard and Claudia Elling of Grants Pass; his grandmother, Barbara Sorich of Medford; his mother, Nancy Clark of San Jose, Calif.; a stepbrother, Richard Clark of San Jose; and a stepsister, Jessica Clark of San Jose.
