Nathaniel “Nat” Green Edwards, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Thursday, June 18, 2015. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.

Nat was born January 10, 1949, in Ogden, Utah to Morgan Cliff Edwards and Nora Green Edwards. He was raised in Idaho Falls. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1967.

Following graduation, he moved to Pocatello, ID where he attended Idaho State University. While at ISU he met the love of his life, Bonnie Nell Goldman, and they were married on August 14, 1970. They lived in Hagerman where Nat started farming potatoes while working on his brother’s, Cliff Edwards, farm. After their first daughter was born they moved to Idaho Falls, where he worked for Boise Cascade.

He had a great entrepreneurial mind, creating and starting numerous businesses throughout his life. Co-owning and running Edward’s Farmers Market Grocery store and driving trucks for his brother’s trucking business. He was a rancher and farmer owning and operating Edward’s Land and Cattle Company, where he raised and bred Angus and prized Limousin cattle, as well as, other odd animals running around the farm. In 1983, he built and managed B & N Storages. He had a love of the stock market, watching and trading financials daily, always keeping a pulse on the market and eager to share his market knowledge with anyone who would listen.
In his free time, he loved tinkering around in his shop, working on some metal or wood working projects. Other passions were fishing for kokanee and trout in the Blacktail area and endless teasing of the grandkids.

Nat will be remembered for many things. Foremost his love and support for his wife and daughters. His strong work ethic and drive will be his legacy for generations to come.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Nell Goldman Edwards, of Idaho Falls, ID., His daughters: Angela (Trent) Olaveson, of Ammon, ID., and Christie (Dallin) Mortimer, of Idaho Falls, ID.; his sisters: Vivian (Doug) Wiseman, of Rigby, ID., and Charlotte Schroder (Andrew deceased), of Sanibel, FL.; his brothers: Cliff (Peggy) Edwards, of Rigby, ID, and David Edwards, of Idaho Falls, ID., Mother-in-law, Dora Goldman, of Idaho Falls, ID and Sister-in-law, Donna Edwards, of Idaho Falls, ID., 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Morgan Edwards, and his father-in-law, Carl Goldman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and the family will visit with friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
