Steven Roy Freeman, age 65, passed away in Beaver, Utah on December 12, 2014. Steven was born on June 27, 1949 in Murray, Utah to Russell Freeman and Ruth Olsen.

Steve is a veteran of the Vietnam War and a long time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada where he was employed in construction and as a handy man. He was really a jack of all trades and if it was broken, he could probably fix it. But in his heart Steve was always a country boy and when the city got too big for him he moved to Beaver, UT where he could have some space and raise his beloved birds. He shared his love of fishing with his wife, Colleen and he always got a kick out of how she was a much better fisherman than him! After retiring in 2011, he started the hobby of his dreams, pottery. He built a shop and would spend hours in it everyday making his pots. He loved the simple life and a good conversation. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; his children, Heather (Todd) Gottschalk, Brian Freeman, Rachel Kincade and Kristina Crawford; five grandchildren, Megan, Natalie, Luke, Uriah and JC; four brothers, Lynn Freeman, Kendall Freeman, Wayne (Sieglinde) Freeman and Von (Valonne) Freeman; and two sisters, Anita (Roger) Gardner and Linda (Deon) Shimbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Russell Freeman, brother Gordon Freeman, sister Camille Turnbeaugh and son Jason Freeman.

His Memorial Service will be held December 20, 2014, 11:00 AM at the Washington Stake Center at 446 E Mangum Road, Washington, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com.
