SYCAMORE – Minnie Edwards, 83, of Sycamore, Ill., died at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at her home.
Born June 5, 1929, in DeKalb, to Rade and Dancia (Svilar) Hrnyak, Minnie married Norman Edwards on April 19, 1948; he preceded her in death on May 6, 1989.
Minnie retired from Ideal Industries after 31 years of service. She was a member of Sycamore Federated Church and a VFW social member.
Survivors include her sons, Tom (Twyla) and Jim (Susan), both of Sycamore; grandchildren, Mark, Colleen, Blaine, Lilia, Elena, Greg and Jeff Wig; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Pettigrew of California, Bessie Troutman and Mary Holtz of Carpentersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Edwards; son, Michael Edwards; and brother, Michael Hrnyak.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Ave., Sycamore.
Memorials can be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
