Elsie Lorene Harman Ackerman, age 73, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital following a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late John & Mallissie White Harman.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was well known by the entire Richlands community. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert, Calvin, and Walter Harman.
Survivors are sons: Hubert Harman & wife Jody of Warrenton, Virginia, Raymond Robert “Butch” Ackerman of Richlands, Virginia; one sister: Lovis Harman Beasley of Collinstown, North Carolina; three grandchildren whom she adored: Melissa Harman, John Harman & Jason Harman.
Funeral services for Elsie Ackerman will be conducted Friday, February 18, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Phillip Horton officiating.
Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
