Arthur Samuel Higgins, 68, died June 13, 2015, in Vancouver. The son of Doris Seufert and Ralph Higgins, he was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Napa, Idaho. He was in the Army and then worked as a maintenance supervisor at Evergreen School District before retirement. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose and the American Legion. Described as kind-hearted and willing to help anyone, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Lee; daughter, Cheri; son, Joe; granddaughter Amanda and grandson Cooper. His parents and his first wife, Barbara, preceded him in death. A service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver. Memorial donations in his name are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Arthur served in the U.S. Army and was a retired Maintenance Supervisor at Evergreen School District.
He was a member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge, and the American Legion.
Arthur loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed woodworking and traveling.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Lee; daughter, Cheri; son, Joe; granddaughter, Amanda; and grandson, Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Barbara Higgins.
A memorial service will be held Fri., June 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
