Professional Baseball Player. He played five seasons in the major leagues as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Beaneaters, Boston Doves and Chicago Cubs. He made his major league debut at the age of 27 on April 15, 1905. Howard appeared in 536 games and retired with six home runs and a lifetime .263 batting average. He died on his 79th birthday.
