Funeral Mass for Anna E. Douglass, 76, Lawton will be at 11:30 AM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Joseph R. Ross, pastor officiating.
Mrs. Douglass died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Lawton.
Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the funeral home.
She was born February 26, 1939 in Zwittau, Czechoslovakia to Hans and Anni Koukal. She married SMSGT (Retired) Alan Douglass on June 16, 1982 in Lawton. He died August 5, 2006. Mrs. Douglass was a night and weekend receptionist at the Center for Creative Living where she was known as “Ornery Anna”. She loved to be around people. Mrs. Douglass was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, German American Club and the Red Hatters.
Survivors include two daughters, Susi Shipp and her husband Harold and Sabine Mowry and Agapito Reyna, all of Lawton, four grandchildren, Mallorie Jones and her husband, Chauncey II, Samantha Shipp, Cory Shipp and Jesse Shipp, all of Lawton, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Toni Schuetz and Liesl Koukal and a brother, Hansi Koukal, all of Germany and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Hermann Koukal.
