Funeral services was held 4 PM, Sunday, June 20, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment followed in Big Creek Cemetery, Irwin County.
Mrs. Gray was born January 10, 1956, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late John L. & Loma Stone Parker. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She loved her children and grandchildren and was famous for her cooking. Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn were two of her favorites and she loved country and gospel music. She enjoyed attending the Colony City Opry and dancing with her daughters and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters: Estelle & Rocky Rothwell, Jr. of Valdosta and Elizabeth Gray of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Rocky Jon Rothwell, III and Sarah Annalise Rothwell; and a sister: Shirley & Dave LaRoe of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Herman Gray and her grandparents: A.P. & Minnie Justice Stone
