Ella Dorothy (Roberts) Mortenson, 99, precious wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away Friday November 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gunnar Mortenson. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (Fenner) Roberts. Ella was the beloved matriarch of a very large close knit family. She is survived by her daughters, Lois O'Connor of Chepachet, Alice Rachlow of Harmony and Judith McCarthy and her husband John of Harmony. She was the sister of Audrey Cafferty and her husband Edward of Dover, MA and the late Evelyn Schofield, Ruth Boehm, Lena Simmons and Helen Adams; grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 14 and great-great grandmother of 4. Her funeral will be held Tuesday November 6, 2012 at 10AM in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Monday 4-7PM in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
