Leland, NC – Anita Sellers Padgett, 76, formerly of Sneads Ferry, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 11:00am at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with the Reverends O.S. Sandy Bain, Tommy Yopp and Elder Arnold Padgett. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
Born May 21, 1939 in Brunswick County, she retired after 20 years in the Onslow County School system in 2004. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Delta Mintz Sellers and her husband of 57 years, Rev. Russell Padgett; sisters, Barbara Gray Sellers, Katie Riddle, Virginia Gainey, Letha Rabon, and brothers, Houston Sellers and Thaxton Sellers.
Survivors include her three daughters, Brenda Padgett of Leland, Teresa Price (Dennis) of Leland, and Sonja Holland (Bret) of Longs, SC; eight grandchildren, James Mitchell Price, Courtney Sorensen, Samantha Price, Cheney Holland, Autumn Holland, Angie Booher, D.J. Price and Angie Sasser, and; eight great-grandchildren, Carmen Price, John Russell Sorensen, Nelson Booher, Austin Sasser, Justin Sasser, Brie Sasser, Seth Dobson and Kade Dobson; sisters, Oretha Sonderman and Loretta Price and one brother, Rev. Elmer Sellers.
